Reigning ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon “The Truth” Vera, 42, of the Philippines has shared what people should take away from the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The demands of everyday life in a pre-coronavirus existence scarcely allowed extended moments of respite to take stock and opportunity to re-evaluate what really matters in life he always sees the silver lining and make the most out of it.
“Let this teach us of a more simpler life we all could and should have with our loved ones so when this is all over, let your appreciation shower them every day and always make it count,” Vera said. Along with other ONE Championship stars, he is set to take viewers inside their homes for a rare glimpse behind the scenes as well as provide hints and tips for how to stay healthy and active during lockdown.
The series runs as part of Global Citizen’s #TogetherAtHome initiative and continues a long-standing relationship between the humanitarian organization and ONE Championship. The Singapore-based martial arts organization will donate 10 percent of all net proceeds from its new online merchandise store ONE.SHOP to the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and other local community organizations to support people whose lives and livelihoods have been greatly impacted by the deadly virus.
The culmination of these events will be the “ONE World: Together at Home” global special, which will be streamed live on the ONE Championship Facebook page and ONE Super App on April 19, 2020 starting at 2:00 a.m. SGT. Read more about this story on Conan Daily.
